and the temperatures are going to be amazing. headed for the 50s overnight. and the reason is that sprawling area of high pressure that will set up over the midwest will rule most of the weather east of the mississippi with lots of sunshine. later in the week this high pressure eventually shifts off the coast, but it's going to take all week for that to happen. when it gets off the coast we usually get a little bit warmer. some of the best weather september has to offer is about to begin. we had a couple of clouds and a couple of spotty showers through pennsylvania. they did drift across the western panhandle of maryland and a little bit of a cloud cover into west virginia. but that is about it. as the sun has gone down, clouds have dissipated and i think we'll be hard pressed to find a cloud in the sky tomorrow. 80 the high today. buffalo, 69 degrees. this front has even done a number on the midwest. 105 in dallas several days last week. their high today, a more reasonable 90 degrees, even
though that is still warm. lincoln, nebraska, 78. fargo, 75. international falls, their high today, 67 degrees. finally a taste or feel of fall fo. our temperature now here in the district is 68 degrees. already down to 59 in gaithersburg. culpeper, down to 59. most places will be heading into the mid-50s tonight. give you an idea of how low we're going to, low of 58 for the district. 51 for gaithersburg. that will feel great. those will be some of the coolest temperatures we've had in our area for overnight lows since early june. tonight clear and cool. we talked about temperatures dropping into the low 50s in the suburbs, above 58 here in the district. fall feel tomorrow. knee and crisp -- sunny and crisp. 58degrees and refreshing breeze out of the northwest at 5 to 10
miles per hour. planner at 8:00 in the morning, a cool start, 60. noon, 73, and 5:00 p.m., 76. talking about two days in the upper 70s. tuesday looks gorgeous at 79. wednesday, thursday, maybe, just maybe we heat it up to about 82. everything very gradual. probably the warm effort we get is 84 or 85 as we look toward the end of the week saturday. clouds might increase a little bit saturday. maybe a couple of showers around on sunday. even sunday doesn't look like a washout. >> looking good. >> fall festival time. coming up at 11:00, we'll talk about the tropics. still have a hurricane in the atlantic. >> thank you, sue. coming up here at 10:00, we're going to have the latest on a deadly accident in president obama's motorcade. stay with us. anncr: this casino's in west virginia.
